Description: Prevotella bivia. Prevotella bivia was previously known as Bacteroides bivius. It is a gram-negative, anaerobic bacterium that inhabits the female genital. The bacterium has been associated with endometritis, an inflammation of the inner lining of the uterus. The bacterium has also been associated with septic arthritis.
